Rare Bruder Kohn Dog Postcard Smooth Fox Terrier Top Hat & Cigar Austria c1918

This card was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this rare vintage postcard is an art portrait of a DELIGHTFUL Smooth Fox Terrier wearing a top hat and smoking a cigar.  This is a dog with personality PLUS!  Next to the portrait is the artist's signature but I had trouble making out all of the correct letters.   The publisher was Vienna, Austria based Bruder Kohn.   Kohn was the largest publisher in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.  He was well known for working with talented, well known illustrators.    Kohn was very active during and a few years after World War I.   On the back is a handwritten message in Dutch, an address in the Netherlands and a faded Netherlands postmark.   This postcard mostly likely dates back to about 1918.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.   Aside from very few signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
